Please accept my sympathy. Gene was one of my favorite people at MCC. I have his painting of Lake Powell in my living room and cherish it. He loaned it to be displayed in my office in the MCC Library for many years and when I retired, he graciously allowed me to make payments and purchase it. He also was very helpful in getting the Paolo Soleri bells returned to the library after they had been moved to remodel and build on to the library. He was the sponsor of the class that first purchased the bells for the library. I always enjoyed his visits and stories when he visited campus after his retirement. He was one of the good ones.
