William Murphy Obituary
1/13/1929- 2/3/2015
Del grew up on a farm in Illinois. Fortunately for him, his family moved to Urbana when he was a teenager. Why? Because it was there that he met Ann Simpson, with whom he shared over 62 wonderful years of marriage. He attended University of Illinois on an ROTC scholarship, served in the navy during the Korean War, worked for DuPont, and started his own drip irrigation company. These accomplishments, however, pale in comparison with his pride and joy- family. His daughter, Jill, his sons, Dan & Grant, and his seven grandchildren. Over the last several weeks, Del's ready smile & happy demeanor, have been a common refrain. Is there a better way to be remembered? Thanks Del, Dad, and Granddad- we love you.

Condolences to Ann and the rest of the family from Jean and Lloyd Helper. Jean and Ann were Urbana High School friends. Jean and Lloyd enjoyed Del's smile and quiet conversation in Scottsdale visits too. We will miss him! Jean
