Emma Jane (Stockton) Murphy, 54 of Dawson, passed away at 5:10 p.m., Friday, Dec. 10, 2021, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., surrounded by her children and sisters.
Emma was born Oct. 26, 1967, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Edward and Audrey (Clover) Stockton. She was married to Wallace D. Murphy Sr., who passed away Oct. 24, 2021.
Emma was a devoted mother, grandmother, and "stay-at-home" mom.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking with her children and grandchildren, and playing bingo. She will be remembered for her kind heart and warm smile.
Emma Jane will be sadly missed by her loving family; her six children, Wallace Murphy Jr., Misty Murphy, Jennifer Murphy, Andrew Murphy, Samantha Murphy, and Christina Murphy; her grandchildren, Emily Heisterman, Marissa Murphy, Mackenzie Haky, Connor Hunt, Alexander Hunt, Gavin Goodman, Isabella Liston, Emma Hunt, Liam Mowry, Blake Goodman, Novalee Liston, and Aria Mowry
Her brothers and sisters, Robin Stockton, Debbie Porterfield, Barbara Johnson, Martha Welty, Karen Bird, Eva Shaner, Edward Stockton Jr, and Robert Stockton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bernadette Stockton, Goldie Campbell, Audrey Stockton, and Betty (Susie) Stockton, and her best friend, Sammy.
Emma is now at peace with her parents, sisters, husband, and best friend. The ones we love never truly leave us, and will continue to live on in our hearts and memories, until we meet again in Heaven.

At the request of the decedent, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
