Henry Evers Obituary

Henry L. Evers Jr.

Dover - Henry L. Evers, Jr., 87, of Dover, passed into glory on April 25, 2018 at home, family by his side.

Mr. Evers was a systems analyst for the DuPont Company in Wilmington, retiring after 35 years of service. He also worked as a tax preparer up until the last year. He earned his bachelors degree from the University of Illinois, and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Prior to moving to Dover, he was a member of Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Newark, where he served as elder, taught Bible Studies and counseling classes, and discipled other men.

Hank's passions were family, travel, tools, home improvement projects and helping others.

Mr. Evers is survived by his wife of 62 years, Irene (Holecek) Evers, two children, Cheryl Beach (Randy) of Pensacola, FL and Steven Evers (Rozann) of Newtown, PA; a brother, Robert Evers (Virginia) of Dover; and three grandchildren, Matthew Beach (Ashley), Joshua Evers, and Moriah Beach.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday April 30, 2018 at Grace Church, 350 McKee Road, Dover, DE 19904 where friends may visit with the family from 11:00 to 12:00.Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Biblical Counseling Foundation Ministries via www.bcfministries.org. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
