I loved my Uncle Bert. He and my father, Gerald Beal, were like brothers. After my father passed, he stepped in to support my brother and I. He kept stepping in to my life when things needed to be done.
The city of Fort Worth was blessed to have him serve on city council, as Mayor Pro Tem, and more. He advocated for all people and particularly for the black community.
I will always remember and love him.

My name is Jacquelyn Tippett. He was always pleasant and easy going. He lived behind my parents house, where I grew up. He lived on Ellington, we lived on Bunche Drive. I called him Uncle Bert. He is truly missed. We used to talk between each others yards and I would visit or call when I was in town.

Brother Bert Williams was a friend, a confidant and a mentor to me and many others. I enjoyed playing golf with him and visiting with him and Sister Joyce Williams, who always beamed with a loving smile when he sang solos in the male chorus. I will miss his friendship and presence. He exemplified class and wisdom. Continued blessings and prayers of support to the family.

I called him Uncle Bert all my life. He was a neighbor and friend of my parents. Uncle Bert was always cordial, friendly and a sense of humor. Aunt Joyce and my parents grew up together in Longview, TX. You will be missed Uncle Bert, thanks for the memories.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. One of our shining stars that guided us at Kirkpatrick Jr, Sr. High School. Whether on the field or in the classroom, we always knew he was there to guide us. We will love you and miss you always.

I offer prayers, thoughts and good memories to the Bert Charles Williams family. Joyce and I were childhood friends, and church friends; Bert became a part of my life through Joyce. The three of us worked together as classroom teachers at M. L. Kirkpatrick High School. We continued our friendship love working in the church, schools and other community activities. May God continue to bless the family.

My entire life, I knew Bert Charles Williams as "Uncle Bert" because of his friendship with my father, Gerald K Beal. Uncle Bert and Aunt Joyce shared in raising, disciplining, teaching, and loving me and my brother all our life, particularly after my parents died. I grew up with Dionne and Danny as a sister-cousin and a brother-cousin. I pray for Dionne and Danny in their time of bereavement and that the memories become sweet in the days ahead.
Words are inadequate to express the depth of my sorrow and sadness. I know that Uncle Bert is resting in God's hands, with that I will find peace.
My love and condolences to the family,
Dr. Cheryl D'Arnetta Beal Anderson

My deepest symphathy goes out to the Williams family. I was a longtime friend of Bert & Joyce. My father,Fred, and myself built thier house and I had occasion to visit with and to also do work for them after that. Bert was a fine man and I am proud to have been a friend to both Bert and Joyce. May they
be reunited and rest in peace in the House of God.
