Irene Hueter Obituary
Irene J. Hueter was born in Papua New Guinea on May 17, 1931, to Lutheran Missionary parents, George L. Hueter and Anna Hueter. She was a Lutheran Missionary-teacher for 25 years in P.N.G. She graduated from Napoleon H.S., Napoleon, OH; received her Bachelor's Degree from Capital Univ., Bexley, OH.; and earned her Master's Degree from the Univ. of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, IA. In 1985, Capital Univ. honored Irene with the distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Bexley, Ohio, where she faithfully served on the Church Council. On January 29, 2018, Irene died, in Christ, at Friendship Village Columbus, Cols., Ohio. A Memorial Service was held there on 3/5/2018, with pastors from Christ Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in McAllister, WI. Irene was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert. Survivors include her siblings, Dorothy (Kolberg) and Richard.

Aunt Irene loved her family; sent birthday wishes to relatives all around world. She stayed true to her christian faith and cherished life long friendships. Aunt Irene was a gifted teacher with a brilliant academic mind set. Bilingual, she was also a talented musician. Her love, humor and missionary adventures; influenced generations, Tim & Family.
