I remember Phil as the resident expert of the Electron Beam welders as an undergrad student in the Welding Engineering Dept. You could always stop by and ask Phil a question on any subject. I regret not getting to know Phil any more than I did. May he rest in peace.

Phil served as an engaging teaching assistant, and a innovative electron beam welding researcher under Dr. Ed Funk at OSU. He was a brilliant engineer--Ed 's right hand man-- at Funk Fine Cast on Kinnear Road during grad school and later served as a quality engineer for various nuclear plants for Commonwealth Edison, largest utility in Illinois. He was a special person who had a heart of gold & always had a kind word for everyone. Our thoughts & prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

Phil represented the best of our class of '66. I knew him since first grade, and he always was friendly, sincere, and kind to all. And funny! He was a wonderful guy.
