Tom "Tommy" Leist finished his journey on Sunday, November 18, 2018. He was born October 15, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Marion Franklin High School and then served in the US Navy. He spent his 40 year career with Kirk Williams Company of Grove City as a sheet metal estimator and retired in 2005. He lived the rest of his years enjoying his family, hunting, golfing, vacationing at the beach and spending time with his friends. He was always ready with a smile, a kind word, an offer of help and a story to share. Those that knew him best would call him funny, ornery and full of advice. He met his beautiful wife, Sue, and spent 51 married years by her side. He was a member of Lithopolis Methodist Church and always served his Lord, Jesus. He is preceded in death by his parents Russell and Mildred Leist and his mother-in-law Caryl Neidigh. Survived by his wife, Susan; daughters, Jennifer (Marc) Hrusch and Eydie (Jason) Echelbarger; grandchildren, McKenna Hrusch and Jacob and Alaina Echelbarger; brother, Jim (Sharon) Leist; and sister, Jane Johnson. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 24 at Myers Woodyard Funeral Home, 587 Main St, Groveport, Ohio, from 2-5pm with a service to follow. Reverend Martindale officiating. We will celebrate his life here on Earth and his welcome into Heaven. Although we will miss him dearly, we will continue to live like he taught us, "Just trust God, and everything will be okay."
