Timothy Scott "Timmy" McAlevy, 44, of Casa Grande, AZ, and formerly of Frederick, MD, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his beloved wife by his side. Born July 13, 1981, in Kingston, PA, he was a son of John R. McAlevy, Jr. and Deborah Ann (Snyder) McAlevy, of Frederick, MD, and formerly of Alexandria, PA. He was united in marriage to Mary Patricia McAlevy who survives.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John R. McAlevy, Sr. and Dolly M. (Thompson) McAlevy; and maternal grandparents, Gerald W. Snyder and Thelma J. (Heaster) Snyder.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three siblings, John R. McAlevy, III and wife, Jessica, of Frederick, MD, Julie N. (McAlevy) Wood and husband, Jonas, of Middletown, MD, and Andrew R. McAlevy and wife, Kayley, of Sanford, NC; nine nieces and nephews, Aidan, Avery, Kieran and Harleigh McAlevy, Noah and Owen Wood, and Lily, Penny and Brody McAlevy; and was loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Tim was a 1999 graduate of the Maryland School for the Deaf and the Culinary Arts program at Frederick Community College, both of Frederick, MD.

Tim began his career as a chef in Maryland before moving to Arizona to work at the El Tovar Hotel in the Grand Canyon National Park. He later relocated in Arizona, where he transitioned into the moving industry, eventually owning and operating Arizona Eagle Movers with Mary until her career led them to Colorado. Shortly after moving to Colorado, Tim was diagnosed with cancer. Another job change led Tim and Mary to Oregon, where they were married, before eventually moving back to Arizona in July of 2023.

Tim was an avid Arizona Wildcats fan and a lifelong supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles. He found joy in the outdoors, whether hiking, fishing, or exploring new places, and Tim loved to drive. Nothing made him happier than being behind the wheel. With a genuine love for his dogs and people alike, he had a gift for striking up conversations and making friends wherever he went.

Friends will be received from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington Street, Huntingdon, PA, with Timothy's cousin, Adam Oldham, officiating. Interment will be in Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery, Alexandria, PA.

While his passing leaves an immeasurable void, Timmy's legacy lives on in the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the kindness he showed to others. In his memory, the family encourages acts of kindness, help someone in need, share a laugh, and love deeply. That's the way Timmy lived.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim's honor may be made to the Help in Healing Home at The Village at Mayo Clinic, 5811 East Mayo Boulevard, Phoenix, AZ 85054.
