Dear Carole,
What a loss! I didn´t know about Mike´s passing until today when I read an article about "Almost Famous" and looked online for more information. My last contact with him was soon after we moved to North Carolina, near Appalachian State University, in 2010. He and Jim Cash were my favorite teachers at MSU, and Mike was an ever-present inspiration for me. I was just thinking about getting back in touch with him. Mike gave all of us a beautiful gift of himself and his love for the written and spoken word. May God bless you.

Carole...I am so sorry to read of Mike's death; he passed away too young. Please know I am thinking of you
