Abel Rivera

Abel Rivera, our beloved, bright, and adventurous son, brought so much joy into our lives from the moment he was born on November 7, 2022, in Provo, Utah. Abel's infectious laughter and playful spirit filled our home, making it a haven of love and happiness. His curious and loving nature was a constant source of delight. Abel was a smart little boy, always ready to explore the world around him. He loved being outdoors, whether it was running, going on family hikes, or visiting the chickens. His favorite indoor activities were dancing, singing, coloring, and playing with his brothers. Abel's love for life was evident in his enthusiasm for the simplest pleasures.
Abel's sense of humor was unparalleled, and his infectious laugh lit up every room. He was a funny little boy, always ready with a mischievous grin, especially when he was sneaking a cookie from the pantry or a toy from Santiago. Abel loved to sing along to the Minions and Trolls movie intros. His voice was the sweetest sound to our ears. His sassy side was equally adorable, especially when he stomped his foot while saying "Na" to coming inside. The memory of his sweet voice calling for "Daddy" and "Ma" in the morning will forever resonate in our hearts. As it is said, "The heart remembers most what it has loved best."
Abel is survived by his loving parents, Vanessa and Edgar Rivera, his brothers, Santiago Rivera and Logan Munoz, his grandparents, Nora Sandoval, Alfredo Rivera, Arturo Munoz, and Carol Munoz, and his aunts and uncles, Cendy Rivera, Julian Rivera, Jesse Munoz, Joey Munoz, Melissa Munoz, Sara Munoz, and Andrew Carrillo. His life, though short, was filled with love, laughter, and the purest joy. Abel's memory will continue to inspire us, giving us strength and bringing us closer together.
Please join us in celebrating Abel's life. The viewing will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 5:30 pm at the Nelson Family Mortuary, followed by the funeral service at 7:00 pm. The funeral mass will be on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 12:00 pm at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, followed by the graveside service at 1:00 pm at Provo City Cemetery.
