Ada Mae Johnson, 83, of Albert Lea, MN passed away on February 14, 2024.

Ada Johnson, born on February 8, 1941, entered this world in Kooching County, Minnesota, as the daughter of Anthony and Ethel (Peavey) Mathison. She spent most of her life in various parts of northern Minnesota, later finding her way to the hustle and bustle of the Minneapolis area. Eventually, Ada settled down in the serene town of Albert Lea after her well-deserved retirement.

Ada was a woman with a zest for life and a free spirit that was unmatched. She enjoyed the thrill of slot machines, whether it was visiting the local casino or trying her luck on her computer from the comfort of her home. She could often be found searching for hidden treasures at rummage sales, always on the lookout for that one special item. Ada's curiosity knew no bounds, and she found great joy in exploring the mysteries of the world, from reading and watching documentaries on Bigfoot and UFOs to embarking on exciting adventures while traveling.

When it came to sports, Ada had an unwavering loyalty to her favorite team, the Minnesota Timberwolves and she would often be heard cheering on her beloved team.

Ada will be lovingly remembered by her grandsons, Christopher (Brittany) Rogian and Matthew (Drew) Rogian; great-granddaughters, Hannah, Eve, and Ryann Rogian; siblings, Ervin “Sonny” Mathison, Sophie (Marko) Zidich, John Mathison, Judy Mathison, David Havron, and Allan “Skippy” Havron; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ada was preceded in death by her sons, Timothy and James; grandson, Aaron; and siblings, Henry “Hank”, Delores, and Sally.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Ada, may your free spirit continue to soar among the stars, and may your memory forever inspire us to live every day with the same zest for life that you did.
