Adam Harrison Williams, Sr., 78, of Elkton, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at this home. He was born February 19, 1947 in Rockingham County, VA and was the son of the late Elsie Williams and Lydia Morris Williams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; Roy Williams; sisters, Lelia Chestnut, Geneva Shifflett, Joyce Eppard, and Ruby Williams.
Adam grew up in the Sandy Bottom area of Elkton. He was employed with A. B. Torrence for a number of years and retired in 2016 from Don Largent Roofing. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visits to the Skyline Drive. Adam will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Adam is survived by his wife, Mary Smith Williams; one son, Adam H. "Bucky" Williams, Jr.; one daughter, Stephanie Williams; brothers; Charles Williams and wife, Theresa of Elkton, Alvin Ray Williams and wife, Sue of Elkton, Paul Williams and wife, Tabitha of Stanardsville; sisters, Donna Stepp and husband, Martin of Elkton and Evelyn Breeden and husband, Wayne of Elkton; one special granddaughter (who was the love of his life), Raina Williams.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton with Pastor Julian Shifflett officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery in Elkton.
