Adelaide M. Powers

Adelaide M. Powers, 102, of Palos Park, IL, passed away on Monday December 25, 2023. She was born on December 3, 1921, in Chicago, IL, to Margaret nee Naughton and John J. Powers.
Adelaide has been preceded in death by her siblings: John S (Mary C) Powers; Margaret M (John J) Kelly; Ethel R (William) Hoehne; Jacqueline A (Robert) Burrus; Zita F (Robert) Colburn; Joan T (George) Baldwin and Robert E Powers.
She was a devoted Aunt to generations of many nieces and nephews, some whom she is hugging in Heaven.
Adelaide, your love and devotion to your faith and family was always your priority. God was always forefront in your thoughts and your love for your country was beyond doubt.
You will be missed by so many whose lives you have touched in your 102 years. You were loved incredibly and your legacy will live on in the stories of your life of adventure. We will also remember your love of little children and how they would make your face light up with joy.
Forever in our hearts. May all the beautiful angels in heaven hug you tightly and escort you to the family and friends who have been waiting so patiently for you!
Ps: I can hear the words you have told me and so many others, "I'm Fine!" Yes, you are!
A Visitation will be held on Thursday December 28, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St Gerald Catholic Church, 9310 S 55th Ct, Oak Lawn, IL 60453.
Interment will be at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 2755 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655.
