MONROE TOWNSHIP – ALAN P. GOLDBERG passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at his residence in Monroe Township. He was 87 years old.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, to Morris and Dorothy (née Sussman) Goldberg he resided there for many years, before moving to Edison, and finally settling down in Monroe Township.
Alan served in the National Guard before beginning his career as a glazier and owner of Goldberg Glass.
In his spare time, he loved playing poker, going fishing, and spending time with his family.
Alan is predeceased by Ruth Goldberg (née Levine); his son, Marc Goldberg in 2021; and his brother, Tyler Goldberg.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Alyce (née Leon) Goldberg of Monroe Township; his son, Stephen Goldberg and his wife, Jennifer, of Monroe Township; his step-daughter, Suzanne Rosa of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Ryann and Adam Goldberg; and five step-grandchildren, Justin, Brianna, Sydney, Adam, and Lena.
A chapel service will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 9:45 am, at MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ. For directions, please view our "Events" listed below.
Shiva will immediately follow services at the home of Stephen and Jennifer Goldberg.
