Albert was born on July 16, 1931 in Torrington CT; the son of the late Cesare "Jerry" and Emilia "Millie" (Mazzochi) Murelli.
As a proud U.S Army Veteran Albert served in the Korean War then began his career in the manufacturing industry at Pioneer Steel Ball Co. in Unionville where he worked until his retirement. In his leisure time Albert enjoyed many years of bowling on local leagues, watching sports on TV, and spend time with family and friends. Albert especially enjoyed being around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and watching them grow up. In the summers Albert loved to vacation with his family on Cape Cod; relaxing on the beach, going lobster trapping, deep-sea fishing, and attending Cape Cod baseball games.
In addition to his beloved wife, Albert is survived by his three cherished children, Albert Murelli Jr, and his wife Vel, Melissa Stajos and her husband Bill, and Ronald Murelli and wife Teri. He also leaves behind five grandchildren; Dawn Deal, Michael Murelli, Sheena Gaskell, Ayla Fairchild, and Jennifer Malentacchi; six great-grandchildren Domenick and Erika Lupinacci, Alexander and Zachary Fairchild, Taylor and Morgan Deal; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings; Clara Shaia, Rose Waldron, Mary Dablain, Irma Seitz, Joseph, Peter, Louis, John, and Raymond.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 4 – 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, Winsted at 11 AM. Graveside services will follow at Forest View Cemetery, Winsted with Military Honors.
