Alex Mitchell Lopez, a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, and soldier, passed away on April 13th, 2025, at the age of 28. Born on December 21st, 1996, Alex brought light, loyalty, and strength to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Alex was a man of quiet determination and profound kindness. Known for his unwavering commitment to family, friends and country, he lived a life defined by selflessness. Alex had a strong, silent strength and an exceptional sense of humor that warmed the hearts of many.
He proudly served his nation as a member of the United States Army, dedicating his life to service and duty. His military journey led him across the globe to Poland and Germany, where he represented his country with honor. Before his time in the military, Alex's deep faith guided him as a missionary in South Africa, where his compassion and devotion touched many lives.
Alex was more than a soldier; he was a protector, a loyal confidant, and a true brother to those fortunate enough to call him family or friend. He always showed up, stood by, and put others before himself – a beacon of strength and generosity. His unwavering love and fierce protection of his family will forever be remembered.
Alex is survived by his mother Brandie, and his three brothers, Josh, Gabriel, and Raiden. He is welcomed in Heaven by his Father, Oscar, who preceded him in death.
In honoring Alex's memory, we celebrate a life lived with courage, loyalty, and love. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, service and kindness that will endure in the hearts of all who love him.
Visitation will be held at Tate Mortuary, 110 South Main Street, Tooele, Utah, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 1-1:45pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 2pm.
