I just learned of Al’s passing and was saddened.
I was a classmate of Al’s from K-12. We were class friends and occasional neighborhood teammates in backyard football. Al taught me how to climb the wall at Woodcrest Elementary to get on the roof of the school. We had some fun together. Al was always the voice of reason. The calm one of the group. He seemed wise before his years.
I also remember him getting an award for NEVER missing a day of school, EVER! Think of that. Solid and dependable for sure.
I’m sure he will be missed by everyone he had contact with.
