Algie Thomas "Tommy" Bowes

Algie "Tommy" Thomas Bowes, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, friends, and love. Born to Algie J. Bowes and Emma T. Bowes, he carried forward a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.
Tommy was the cherished husband of Vickie "Tinka" Bowes, whose marriage brought joy and warmth to their shared journey. Together, they built a loving family, started multiple businesses, and created countless memories. He was a devoted father to Christopher Bowes; Cory Bowes [Aimee]; and Jonn Walker [Casey]. His insatiable energy, guidance, and love shaped their lives in immeasurable ways.
He found immense joy as a grandfather to Jacob Bowes, Megan Pennington, Briana Walker, Brycen Bowes, and Hunter Bowes. His laughter, humor, and stories of his youth and the bygones of the family farm on Tom Bowes Road enriched their lives, leaving a legacy of love that continues to inspire. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, each a cherished part of his life and legacy.
Tommy's family extended to his devoted brother, Ronnie Bowes, and wife, "Jan Bowes". Their bond as siblings exemplified the importance of family ties and enduring love.
Tommy's life was one of humor, intense enthusiasm, dedication, compassion, and integrity. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family and the joy and laughter he brought to those around him. His memory will live in the hearts of all who knew him and heard his dominating spirit on radio throughout Roxboro and Yanceyville.
The family visitation for Tommy will be held at Antioch Baptist Church on Thursday, January 23 between 6 pm - 8 pm. The memorial service will be held Friday, January 24 at Antioch Baptist Church by the Dr. M. David Chambers and the Rev. Hal Dickerson at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Truth In Nature (Apex Chapter (https://truthinnature.org/donate/), a non-profit Christian Youth Ministry, or Antioch Baptist Church, P.O. Box 185, Timberlake, NC, 27583 in his honor.
Tommy Bowes leaves behind a legacy on Person County and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
