Alice Leona Marrah was born to Alice (Lake) and Joseph Marrah in Owosso July 3, 1932. She graduated from St Paul's High School in Owosso and attended the University of Detroit, St. Joseph College and Michigan State University. Leona was employed by Sarah Fischer Home in Farmington and the Sisters of Charity in greater Boston. She had been a manager for Byerly Food stores in Metro Detroit. She was a substitute teacher at St. Joseph's in St. Johns and taught at St. Paul's in Owosso. Leona very much loved and enjoyed the children she taught. Later in life Leona was a counselor at Shiawassee Employment and Training. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, ceramics, stained glass painting, sewing and knitting.

Leona married Charles R Jenkins of Owosso at St. Paul's in 1957. They were married until 1992 Charles passed away in September of 2009. They were the parents of Charles J., Douglas R. (Janet), Matthew J. Jenkins and son, Steven who passed away at birth. Leona's grandchildren are Tara Jenkins, Tyler (Ben) Theile, C. Thomas Jenkins and Chelsea (Luke) Perrin. She is the great grandmother to Brad Jenkins, Ella and Blair Theile and Leon Perrin. She was preceded by her parents, Joseph and Alice, her siblings and their loved children, Bill (Patsy) Marrah, Joe and Emmy Marrah, Al and Evelyn Marrah, Bud, Marion and Larry Marrah, Don, Helen and Lori (Mcarthy) Marrah, Helen and, Ford Twomley, their daughter, Ruthanne Fischer and her son Greg Fischer, Dorthy (Bob) Fortino and son, Mark.
Charlie, Doug and Matt would like to express their gratitude to everyone that helped Mom at home, Sparrow and Memorial Hospitals and Oliver woods. Thank you.
