Alice Pawlak Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory on Dec. 22, 2025.
Alice Teresa Pawlak, a devoted wife, loving Mother, cherished friend, and a pillar of her family, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, at the age of 91.

Alice was born on January 8, 1934, in Pittsburgh, PA, and made it her home for her first 73 years of her life. She was a woman of great pride in her children and lived her life with strength and dedication. A hard-working and loyal employee, she spent 29 years working for the Borough of Plum, PA, where she displayed a strong work ethic and commitment. Alice retired from the Borough in 1999.

In 2007, Alice and her late husband, Anthony 'Moe" Pawlak, moved to Newnan, GA. It was there that she chose to start giving generously of her time volunteering at Piedmont Hospital in Newnan. She found joy and companionship as an avid member of Dining Divas and Silver Sneakers, embracing the friendships that came with those organizations. She also cherished her time with the Bridge Club, where laughter, camaraderie, and cards were shared among friends.

Alice was the last surviving member of a family of 9 children that grew up in Lawrenceville, PA, carrying with her a lifetime of stories, memories, and family history that she held close to her heart.

Above all else, Alice was a fiercely proud and loving mother, grandmother, devoted wife, and loyal friend whose good-heartedness and sense of humor were evident to anyone who knew her. Her love, strength, and pride in us will be deeply missed.

Alice is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Ken) Wright, Christine (Tom) Fitzgerald, and her son, Tony (Barb) Pawlak. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Abbey (Zach) Hoover and Luke Pawlak. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Anthony Turowski; her husband, Anthony "Moe" Pawlak, as well as her three brothers and five sisters.

A Mother's Prayer

The Lord was my keeper from my children's first breath to my final one.

I carried love, gave strength, and placed prayers in every tear. What I leave behind is not sorrow, but love that lives on.

Into God's hands I rest, into my children's hearts my blessing.

Amen
