Alice Mary (Holzem) Tucker
Age: 88
Alice passed away in the early morning of May 5 at Pride TLC under the care of Hospice, surrounded by her many guardian angels.
Alice was born in Wausau on September 23, 1936, to Francis and Anna (Lenard) Holzem. In her teenage years, she entered the convent (near Chicago IL) taking her vow as a nun. During this time, she also studied education and taught grammar school. Her path changed when she met and fell in love with Howard Wolfgram and decided to marry and have children. She continued to teach grammar school at St. Mary's Catholic School in Wausau before once again changing her path toward local government. She was instrumental serving as a secretary during the Wausau Mall planning and building. Prior to her retirement she was a youth counselor at the Shelter Home. Alice enjoyed knitting and made many beautiful items for her children, grandchildren and for those in need.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Anna. Her first husband Howard Wolfgram, second husband Gerald Tucker, special friend Frank Skola, siblings Francis, Thomas, Dennis, sister Janice and daughter Sharon.
Alice is survived by her children Linda (Todd) Handrick, Carla (Randy) Janikowski, Mary Jo Wolfgram, grandchildren Brandon (Chloe), Ryan (Michael), Bethany (Branden), Matthew, Adam (Mariah), Jordyn (Adam), Noah (Kia), Mya and 12 Great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the employees of Pride TLC and St. Croix Hospice. We are deeply grateful for the kindness, caring and compassion that you gave Alice.
A visitation will be held in her honor at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home (Stewart Ave), on Saturday May 10 from 3-6pm. Per Alices wishes please refrain from sending flowers. The family is requesting that donations be made to organizations of your choosing.
