Allan Julius Netz, 85, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on March 3, 2024. He was born on January 22, 1939, to Oscar and Harriet (Shimman) Netz. Allan bravely served his country in the US Army from 1957-1959 and was dedicated to his work as a driver at Consumer's Industrial Laundry and later at Car Trucking, where he retired.
Allan met the love of his life, Connie Taylor, on a blind date, and they were united in marriage on December 2, 1961, in Detroit. Their love and partnership were a source of joy and strength until Connie's passing in 2004.
In his leisure time, Allan had a passion for bowling and could often be found on various leagues, relishing every moment on the lanes. He was also a loyal fan of the Detroit Lions, although he often joked that he would never live to see them win another championship. His family says he proved them right.
Allan will be dearly missed by his children, David Netz, and Kathy (Danny) Therrien; grandchildren, Michael (Dez) Netz, Ashley (TJ) Hilbert, and Jonathan Sampeer; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Ava, Grayson, and Savannah; his brother, David Netz, and a host of other family members and friends.
Allan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Connie, and his parents, Oscar and Harriet Netz. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, 226 Crocker Blvd., Mount Clemens, MI. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8 at Kaatz Funeral Directors at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation prior starting at 9:00am. Burial will follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Allan's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Ihave been in medical practice 53 years now. In all that time I have never met a person as nice and caring as Allan. He always made my day whenever he came in, always in the mornings and he got our whole office off to a good start for the rest of long day. He was a happy and blessed man, which I think he knew as well as are staff. He always talked about his family, his son and grand kids he adored. My staff all cried when they held the news of his passing. "Allan the lions came close!" To his son and family Allen was "a man for all seasons!" I have been in Florida the past two weeks and very sorry I could not be there to say good bye to your Dad. God bless your great family.

Sincerely, Dr Anthony Cardellio, Dr Amy Cardellio and our crew: Lori, Ioana, Dani(they told me she cried all day), Steff, Tia, Shiela, and Gentiana. Also, Jane Cardellio
