Allen Lee Covrett Sr., 64, of Delaware passed away peacefully early Friday morning, February 2, 2024 at Grady Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 9, 1959 in Delaware to Charles Norman and Phyllis June (Boring) Covrett.
A truck driver for Piper Trucking for 30 years, he was a member of the Eastside Mission Church and Redman Lodge in Hyatts. He enjoyed going to tractor pulls, mowing and working at the Delaware County Fair. When able, he also loved hunting, camping and fishing.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Phyllis of Delaware; daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Covrett and Rebecca Ann Covrett of Delaware; sons, Allen Covrett Jr. of Buffalo, New York and Matthew Logan Covrett of Delaware; grandchildren, Jacob, Brandon, Jean, JoJo, Addy, Kingston, Maddie, and Harper; brother, Michael Wayne (Cheri) Covrett of Raymond; sisters, Diana (Rick) Burns of Mechanicsburg and Debbie Covrett of Delaware; loving companion, Jenny Meier of Delaware; numerous nieces and nephews.
Allen was preceded in death by his father and his brother James "Jimmy" Norman Covrett.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 4 - 7 pm at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive at W. William Street, Delaware, where services celebrating his life will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Donnie Akers officiating.
