Allen Dean Tisdale was born in Weslaco, TX on December 15, 1936, to William E and Ramona (Privett) Tisdale. He entered into eternal rest on July 30, 2025, at the age of 88. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mary A Tisdale, sons Terry D Tisdale and Darrel W Tisdale (Desiree); grandchildren Kyle, Amanda, and Amelia Tisdale; his brother Dr James N. Tisdale (Janet), he also leaves several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Dean grew up in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and attended schools in Weslaco, Pharr, Eagle Pass, and Edinburg. He graduated from Edinburg High School in 1955 and attended Phillips University in Enid, OK. He held various positions in the Credit Departments of Champlin Oil and Refining Company, Champlin Petroleum Company, Champlin Refining Company, Seaview Asphalt Refining Company, CITGO Asphalt Refining Company, and CITGO Petroleum Corporation and retired in 1998 as a Credit Manager. During his years in the Petroleum industry, he was a member of the North Central Petroleum Credit Association, the Southwest Petroleum Credit Association and the American Credit Association. After moving to various cities, due to changing work responsibilities, he and Mary retired in 1998 to Pleasant Valley Estates in the beautiful hill country east of Boerne, TX. He enjoyed making pens in his workshop, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends. Dean was a member of Cornerstone Church of San Antonio.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 10:00am followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am, at the Ebensberger Fisher Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Boerne City Cemetery.
