Amanda Gail Adams, 41, of Silsbee, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 17, 2025. She was born on November 15, 1983, in Galveston, to Susan Rachell Unruh Adams and Mickey Atward Adams.
Amanda's life was a testament to her deep faith, kindness, and compassion. She loved Jesus wholeheartedly and reflected His love in all she did. She had a servant's heart, always striving to uplift, encourage, and heal those around her.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lamar University and a Master's in Occupational Therapy from Texas Tech, later adding a certification as a Wellness Instructor and a Master's in Special Education. After years as an occupational therapist, Amanda followed her calling and founded Rooted Therapy and Wellness, a faith-based business dedicated to holistic healing. Her mission was to help others thrive-mentally, physically, and spiritually-and she poured her heart into every life she touched.
Amanda is survived by her loving parents, Susan and Mickey Adams of Silsbee; brother, Kameron Adams and his spouse, Katie, of Lumberton; aunts, Beverly Segrest, Nora Fuller, and Donna Nolen and her husband, Dale, all of Silsbee; and grandmother, Trudie Unruh of Kountze. She is reunited in heaven with her uncle, Marvin Segrest.
A celebration of Amanda's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Praise Church, 8325 Walker Road, Beaumont. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard's Crematorium under the direction of Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
Amanda's legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the countless lives she touched. Though deeply missed, we rejoice knowing she is at peace in the presence of Jesus.
