Amanda Lynn Eggeling

Amanda Lynn Eggeling went home to our Lord on July 4th, 2024, at the young age of 40.
Amanda was a very spiritual woman, with a strong faith in the teachings of the Bible. Her heart was always filled with a nurturing passion, so it was no surprise that she absolutely adored being a mother to her three beautiful children.
Amanda was born on April 25th, 1984, in Houston, TX. She was primarily raised in Tomball, affectionately referring to Tomball as her "stompin' grounds". While attending Tomball high school, she was very proud to be member of the FFA program where her love for animals shined and so did her larger-than-life personality. After graduating in 2002, she and her high school sweetheart, David Trafton, planted their very own roots on Elm Street, where many memories were made with family and friends. She always had a passion for hair and makeup which eventually led her to the Aveda Institute School of Cosmetology where she proudly graduated and earned her licensing credentials, all while being an adoring mother.
Amanda had a generous and empathetic heart not only for her loved ones but also for her beloved community. Her good-natured heart eventually curated an online philanthropic page where the people of the Tomball/Houston community could virtually gather to help each other out in times of need.
Amanda is survived by her husband of 25 years, David Trafton, their children David Preston Trafton III, Peilynn Faye Trafton and Parker Erich Trafton. Amanda is also survived by her parents, Alfred Eggeling and Terri Lynn Simkins, Stepparents Chuck Simkins and Mary Eggeling. Additionally, Amanda is survived by her siblings, Erich Eggeling, Misty Millwee, Robin Simkins, Charlie Eggeling and Shelbie Lynn Laurita.
Amanda's heart of gold was felt by so many people. She was inherently hilarious, fiercely protective, and compassionate all at the same time. If you knew Amanda, there is no doubt that you have encountered her heart-driven-forthrightness. She truly captured the beauty, the brains, and the humility that God made her with.
Let's honor Amanda's legacy not by mourning, but by remembering the unique and amusing moments that we all shared with her. Forever in our hearts.
