AMANDA JOHNSON
Henderson, TN: Amanda Frances Willis Johnson age 53, passed away December 7, 2023, at her home.
She was born May 14, 1970, in Henderson, the daughter of Don and Frances Pickett Willis. She grew up in Henderson and was a 1988 graduate of Chester County High School.
She married Jim Johnson on April 14, 1989. They made their home in Henderson.
She worked as a preschool teacher at Noah’s Ark Preschool in Henderson for fifteen years and then at Once Upon a Time Preschool also in Henderson.
She was a very giving person and always remembered people’s birthdays with a gift and was a big supporter of Children’s Toy drives for various churches and community programs.
She was wonderful wife, mother and daughter who was greatly loved and will be missed by not only her family but also many friends.
She was a member of the Sweetlips Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, James Anthony ‘Jim’ Johnson of Henderson; her parents, Don and Frances Pickett Willis of Henderson; a daughter, Emily Amanda Banks (Kim) of Enville and a brother, Toby Willis (Allison Carroll) of Seattle, WA.
She was preceded in death by a son, Nathan James Johnson in 2020.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 11th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Ricky Tedford officiating. Burial will follow at Middlefork Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at Crook Avenue and Monday 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time Monday.
