Obituary of Amy Elizabeth Kovach
Amy Elizabeth (Reimer) Kovach, 32, of South Coventry, passed away on Sunday, January 26th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 4, 1992, in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, she was the cherished daughter of Ernest Reimer and Elaine (Laborsky).
Amy was a proud graduate of Phoenixville Area High School, Class of 2010, where she excelled academically and athletically. A member of the varsity tennis team, she also found time to contribute as part of the National Honor Society (NHS) and the The Fund for Women and Girls - Girls Advisory Board (GAB). She later earned her bachelor's degree in civil engineering at Penn State University and continued her education at Villanova University, where she obtained a master's degree in environmental engineering and water resources. Shortly after completing her education, she obtained her fundamentals of engineering (FE) and principles and practice of engineering (PE) certifications. Amy was a proud member of the Society of Women Engineers and always looked for ways to give back to the future professionals in her field.
A woman of faith and service, Amy's passion for making a difference extended beyond her personal life. She founded Amy's Purple Warriors, a fund dedicated to raising awareness of and support for pancreatic cancer research and those impacted by pancreatic cancer.
Above all, Amy was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Joe, and her cherished son, Myles, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her loving parents, Ernest and Elaine; her sister, Stacey Godman (Robert); her brothers, Daniel Reimer and Kevin Reimer (Susannah); and many other family members and friends who will deeply miss her warmth, generosity, and light.
Amy's legacy of love, perseverance, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her. Her impact on her community and family will forever be remembered and celebrated.
A visitation with family and friends will be held Thursday evening, January 30th, 2025 at the R. Strunk Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
An additional visitation will be held Friday morning, January 31st, 2025 at St. Joseph Church, 3640 Schuylkill Rd, Spring City, PA 19475 from 9:15 am to 10:45 am. Mass will follow, beginning at 11:00 am.
Amy has asked that anyone attending either her visitation or mass wear purple in recognition of all whose lives are affected by pancreatic cancer.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Amy's Purple Warriors to continue her mission of fighting pancreatic cancer -

Amy's bingo fundraiser at the Kimberton Fire Hall was a lot of fun for folks from her dad's YMCA bridge group as well as for her many friends and neighbors. It raised a tidy sum for her foundation, too.
