Andrea M. Martone AmsterdamAndrea M. Martone, 42, of Valley View Road, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at her parent's home on Highland Road. She was born in Amsterdam on February 9, 1972 and was the daughter of Vincent and Patricia Puglisi Martone. She was a graduate of Amsterdam High School, class of 1990. Ms. Martone was a homemaker and attended her boys' many football games. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Survivors, in addition to her parents, include three sons, Anthony Martone Perez, Frankie Angelo Perez and Santino Vincent Perez, all of Amsterdam; one sister, Julie Forbes of Florida; one brother, Captain Vincent J. Martone, US Army of California; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and her compassionate dog, Maggie. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jessica Marie Martone. Funeral services will be Friday, September 26 at 10:30 a.m. from De Stefano Funeral Home, Rt. 5-S, Amsterdam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, celebrated by her uncle, the Very Reverend Father James Puglisi S.A. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
