Andrew G. (Sonny) Butorac of Adah, Pa., a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the age of 77. He was born December 1, 1946 in Puritan, Pa., a son of the late Andrew J. and Theresa A. (Olesh) Butorac. Sonny served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam and played accordion in his band, the Koasters. He worked for National Mines in Isabella where he wore many hats, and finally retired as manager of industrial relations. He came out of retirement finding his second job at California University where he retired at the age of 62.
Sonny leaves behind his best friend and loving wife, Diane (Bohna) Butorac, whom he married on December 16, 1967; three children Robert A. Butorac (Janell) of Pittsburgh, Pa., Jeffrey A. Butorac (Cindy) of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Lisa M. Bruno of Hampton, Va.; eight grandchildren and a great grandson; two sisters, Elaine Clemmer of Smithfield, Pa. and Lorraine Roman (Gene) of Adah and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers Robert Butorac and Thomas Butorac.
Funeral arrangements are private.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made toward Parkinson's disease research.
