Andrew Dudek, 57, of Middletown, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 13th, at home with his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Andrew, son of Krystyna and Stanley Dudek, was born in 1967 and grew up in Weehawken, NJ. There he found a love for baseball (Go 'Hawken!!) and hockey. He attended Ocean County Community College and Kean College. Andrew married his wife, Christine, in 1996. He was always devoted to his family, especially his two daughters, Sarah and Melissa.
Andrew was a hard worker, adventurous, selfless, and brave. He never failed to make those around him laugh. Andrew was a past Grand Knight of the Vincent T. Lombardi Knights of Columbus. He was also a fourth degree Knight. Andrew worked at the Bank of New York Mellon for 18 years. He was also a dedicated hockey referee with USA Hockey for many years. He always loved being out on the ice with his fellow Officials. He was a diehard New York Islanders fan, as well as the New York Mets, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Andrew was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his wife Christine Dudek; his two daughters, Sarah and Melissa Dudek; his mother, Krystyna Dudek; his sister Lisa Ellerbrock and brother-in-law Peter Ellerbrock; his brother Richard Dudek and sister-in-law Ilene Dudek; mother-in-law Kathleen LaRocca; his brother and sister-in-law Michael and April LaRocca; his seven nephews, Jason and Tyler Ellerbrock, Matthew and Alex Dudek, and Michael, Jack and Sean LaRocca; as well as his dog Muffin and cats Q, Tate, and Sunshine.
He is predeceased by his father, Stanley Dudek, and his father-in-law John LaRocca.
Andrew will be missed dearly and will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 18th, from 3pm - 7pm at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown NJ.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 19th at 10am at St. Mary Mother of God Church, Middletown NJ.

Andrew worked in BNY and was part of the BNY Family. A cherished colleague and friend. His warmth, humor and passion for all things sporting (Islanders, mets) brought much joy to those around him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace Andrew.

I had the privilege of working with Andrew for over a year at BNY. We both loved Hockey and I always enjoyed our conversations about the Islanders and Rangers. Andrew was a very good man, and he will be missed. My condolences to Andrews family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I didn´t know Andrew all that well. we worked together at BNYM. We played softball together for the Bank, which is where I first met him. However for the short period of time I knew him, I remember he was a very happy and extremely friendly man. RIP Andrew.

Several years ago, my husband and I were walking around Six Flags GA, when I hear, "Hey Marcia" and I turn around and there's Andrew waiting in a long line with assorted tweens to get in the One Direction concert. He looked thrilled to be there, but obviously he would do anything for his daughters. He was kind and always friendly and will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences.
