Andrew G. Flock of Florham Park, NJ, formerly of Basking Ridge, NJ, passed away peacefully at Morristown Medical Center on Monday, December 26, 2022, at the age of 97.
The visitation will be held at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave, Summit NJ, on Thursday, Dec. 29th, from 4-7 PM. The Funeral will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Oratory, 1360 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ on Friday, Dec. 30th at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
Andrew was born in Lambertville, NJ, the son of Mary (nee Young) and Edward Flock. He was raised in Orange, NJ and had resided in Basking Ridge for 25 years before moving to Florham Park 3 years ago.
Andrew was a veteran of the US Navy and was honorably discharged in 1943. He was employed as a warehouse supervisor for A&P in Edison, NJ for 45 years before retiring in 1987.
Andrew was an active member of St. Anthony of Padua Oratory since its inception. He was a past president of the Holy Name Society at St. Venantius Church in Orange as well as a past officer of Oratory Prep Father's Club in Summit, NJ, and past officer of Orange Little League.
Andrew was pre-deceased in 2013 by his beloved wife of 66 years Eda Flock (nee DeVizio). He is survived by his loving sons, Robert A. Flock of Livingston, NJ and Edward Flock and his wife Lori of Pahrump, NV; his cherished grandchildren, Stephanie Flock Giblin and her husband Dennis, Suzanne Flock Dawson and her husband Ryan, Noelle Flock Blattenberger and her husband Shane and Nichol Driscoll and her husband Sean, and great-grandchildren Brenden, Jaylene, Louisa, Riley, Annabelle, Otto, Palmer, Declan, and Brooks. Andrew was also pre-deceased by his loving daughter-in-law, Kathleen Flock.
