Andy William Wetherington

January 11, 1967 - May 22, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Andy Wetherington, who left this world on May 22, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on January 11, 1967, to Ruth and Clyde Wetherington, Andy brought light, laughter, and loyalty into the lives of all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde.
Andy is survived by his devoted mother, Ruth Wetherington; his brothers Dale (Carla) Wetherington and Chris Wetherington; his sister Kelly (Jeff) Fuller; and his daughter Courtney (Jessy) Speers; and his son Gunnar (Sabrina) Wetherington, He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren -Jessa, Jade, Jeremiah, and Andrew-who were the pride and joy of his life. As well as his loving girlfriend, Sandy Workman. His legacy of love extends to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom will carry forward his memory with warmth and fondness.
A man of many passions, Andy found peace and excitement in the great outdoors. Whether he was reeling in white bass and perch, chasing deer through the woods, or taking off on a motorcycle ride, he lived every moment with enthusiasm. He had a need for speed, especially when it came to drag racing, and he never turned down the refreshment of a good cold Coca-Cola.
But above all, Andy's heart belonged to his grandkids. He lit up when he was with them, and his time spent with them was filled with love, laughter, and play-including his infamous, unbeatable ping pong games.
Andy was a man defined by loyalty and generosity. He was always willing to lend a hand, often giving the shirt off his back without a second thought. To those who knew him best, Andy was the true definition of a "ride or die"-steadfast, selfless, and sincerely devoted.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by the family and friends who were blessed to have him in their lives.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m at Caruth-Hale Life Celebration Center at 2529 Airport Rd.
