Ann Rutherford

Funeral services for Ann Rutherford, age 88 of Lindale, Texas, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Red Springs Baptist Church in Red Springs, Texas with Bro. Collin Jones and Bro. Fred Morrow officiating. Interment will follow at Red Springs Cemetery. Ann passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, in Mineola. She was born October 20, 1936, in Odom, Texas to the late Marshall David and Jewel Katherine (Brewer) Murphy. Ann has lived in Lindale for the last 2 years and was previously a longtime resident of Mineola. She was a member of Red Springs Baptist Church where she enjoyed being active and singing. Ann retired from Haws Roofing as an Administrative Assistant after over 20 years of service. She was preceded in death by husband, Mike Rutherford, and brothers, Joe and James Murphy. Ann is survived by her children, Kathy Downing of Red Springs, Lela Maple and husband, Craig of Mineola, and Ben Alford Jr. and wife, Alice of St. Charles, Missouri; sister, Marcille Kartes of Seattle, Washington; brother, Dan Murphy of Mineola; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
