Anna Druan Obituary

Anna Druan, 63, of Cromwell passed away on January 14, 2022 at Waterbury Hospital after a long and complicated hospital stay. Anna was a daughter of Robert Druan and the late Rosalie Cristelli born on September 26, 1958 in Waterbury CT.
If you met Anna most assuredly you would become her friend. Anna touched many lives over the more than thirty years she worked at Waterbury Hospital. Her bright blue eyes, sunny disposition and friendliness led to so many lasting friendships over the years. Anna had a strong faith in God and a firm devotion to the Catholic Church.
Anna enjoyed shopping, arts and crafts, going to the beach and spending time with friends. At one time, she was a cheerleading coach for the Waterbury Patriots. More than anything Anna loved time with her precious family. The sun rose and set on her grandchildren. Throughout her long hospitalization, conversations with her daughter Heather, FaceTime with grandchildren Mateo and Luna and visits with her Dad, sister and friends brought her the strength needed to face the difficulty of illness. Prayers and love from friends helped lessen her worries and warm her heart during her illness.
Left to cherish her love and memory are Anna's beloved daughter Heather and husband Ramses Jimenez, her precious grandchildren Mateo and Luna of Wethersfield, father Robert Druan of Middlebury, sister Diana Yalen of Mystic and brother Robert Druan Jr of Ca, her inherited daughter Alicia Mendoza of Waterbury and many friends that were a second family. Anna was predeceased by her mother and sister Kathleen Schaeffer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 6 pm. at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home 72 Waterbury Rd., Prospect. Burial will be private. Friends and family are invited to gather with Anna's family on Saturday from 4 pm unil the time of the service.. You are invited to share a fond memory, photo or words of comfort for Anna's family and friends on her Tribute Wall on Prospect Memorial's website. In lieu of flowers if you so desire, donations may be made to offset costs of services by mailing a check to Prospect Memorial Funeral Home,72 Waterbury Rd. Prospect, CT 06712 and specify Anna Druan Funeral Fund in memo or by visiting www.prospectmemorial.com and click the donations tab.

One of my funny moments with Anna. Anna, Rae C, and I went on an excursion to New York. Just hanging out, shopping, and catching a broadway show. So the show starts and all the cast members are stark naked. We had no idea what type of show it was, we just randomly picked it.
We laughed about that for so long. The best part, we spent the day together.
R.I.P. sweet angel. You will be missed by so many. You will always be in my heart.
