Annette LaPean, age 91, of Plymouth, passed away on Saturday (February 4, 2023) at the Waterford in Plymouth.
She was born on January 6, 1932 in Sheboygan, a daughter of the late Lylle and Elsie (Horneck) Hoffmann.
Annette graduated from Sheboygan North High School. On September 10, 1952, she married Myron LaPean at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan and was married 70 years. Her husband preceded her in death on October 31, 2022.
In Annette's early years she worked as a nurse's aid at St. Nicholas Hospital. Over the years she also worked at Mayline and retired from Sheboygan Paint Company, where she worked in accounts payable.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling, going out to eat, cooking, hiking, as well as drawing and painting in watercolor. Annette was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. She was a devout Catholic and volunteered for the Daughters of Isabela.
Annette is survived by: Her Children: Michael (Diane Cornine) LaPean of Hawaii, Mark (Jody Zimmermann) LaPean of Sheboygan Falls, David LaPean of Sheboygan Falls, and Daniel (Margie Turba) LaPean of Sheboygan Falls; Grandchildren: Thomas Joseph (Leilani) LaPean, Jennifer LaPean, Timothy (Kari) LaPean, Matthew (Samantha) LaPean, Michelle (Hans) VanKoningsveld, Joshua LaPean, Jordan LaPean, and Alisha (Trevor) Riesterer; Great Grandchildren: Damian, Maverick, Wyatt, Reid, Marley, and Drake LaPean, Luke Hackney, Ezekiel, Andrew, and Isaiah VanKoningsveld.
She is further survived by: Her sister: Phyllis Smith; Sister-in-law: Arlene Ronspies (Don) Kiefer; Nieces: Joy Ronspies (Joel) Soerens and Carla Ronspies (Philip) Duket; and Nephew-in-law: Brian Schachel.
Annette was preceded in death by: her parents; Brothers: John (Carol) Hoffmann and Gerald Hoffmann; Brothers-in-law: Gene Smith and Don Ronspies; and Niece: Lori Ronspies Schachel.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday (February 8, 2023) at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 10:00-11:00am, with mass to follow at 11:00am with Fr. Philip Reifenberg officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Sheboygan.
Mass will be live-streamed and available to watch through the Church website, www.sjbplymouth.org.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Annette's name.
