Annette, age 58, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. She was a native of Port Sulphur, LA. and a longtime resident of Denham Springs. For 17 years Annette drove a school bus for children of Livingston Parish. Most of all, she enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, and spending time with her family. Her family always came first in her life. According to her husband, Annette saved his life the very first day they met each other. Annette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who is dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Annette is survived by her loving husband Gerald Laurent; daughters, Kaleigh Laurent, Sara Laurent; sons, Shaine Darbonne and wife Taylor, Rauman Laurent, Sawyer Laurent, and Bryson Laurent; grandchildren, Stockton, Braxton, and Braeleigh Laurent, Brooklin Tarver, Easton Bond, and Christian Gray; mother, Bertha Darbonne; sisters, Stacie Blade, and Matilda Darbonne; along with niece Miranda Blade and nephews, Dwayne Darbonne, and Charles Blade.
Annette is preceded in death by her father, James Darbonne; and brother, Darrell Darbonne.
Pallbearers will be Bryson Laurent, Shaine Darbonne, Charles Blade, Sawyer Laurent, Dewayne Darbonne, and Larry Nadeau.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 7738 Florida Blvd, Denham Springs, LA on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 15710 Hwy 16, French Settlement, LA. on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Deacon Jimmy Little will officiate, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
