Anthony James Alfonsi, 81, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025. Born on April 21, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the beloved son of Anthony and Lucille Alfonsi.
On July 2, 1976, Tony married the love of his life, Pamela Spencer, in Port Huron. Together, they built a warm and welcoming home in Marysville, Michigan, where they raised their family and created a lifetime of cherished memories. After retiring from DTE, Tony and Pam fulfilled their dream of a quieter life and spent the past 20 years in Roscommon, enjoying the beauty of northern Michigan together. Tony was known by all as a kind, gentle, and thoughtful man. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he carried himself with sincerity and steady strength. He worked hard, loved deeply, and lived with a humble grace that made him truly one of a kind.
He is survived by his brother Larry Alfonsi; his daughter, Stephanie (Ron) Pilat; his sons, Thomas Spencer and Timothy Spencer; his grandchildren, Trevor and Ali Rich, and Madison Rich; and his great-grandchildren, Jayce, Emerson, and Presley. He is also remembered with love by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela; his son, Bradley Borowski; his granddaughter, Meghan Rich, and his parents. We take comfort in knowing they are now reunited once again.
Anthony James Alfonsi will be remembered for his gentle heart, unwavering devotion to his family, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. His legacy lives on in the love he shared and the lives he touched. Anthony's family has chosen to remember him privately at this time, and there are no services. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond.
