Anthony Allen Brannon, or better known as Tony, of Magnolia, TX passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2024 at 5:34 am. He was born on July 10, 1970.
Born and raised in Houston, TX. He attended Waller High School where he later received a GED. Tony often bragged about his GED; he loved telling people his testimony. He used his GED and lack of a college education as his main driving force. He wanted others to know that if you applied yourself and were determined that you could do all that you set your mind to and more.
There were 3 titles that Tony wore proudly; Husband, Dad and Papa T.
Tony met his wife, Kelly, in 1988. They would spend their time traveling, hiking, going to concerts and much more. They married in 2000. Marrying Kelly wasn't just a one person deal. Kelly had her two daughters Jessalyn and Jordan, meaning that Tony would become a husband and a step-father in the same day. But he never saw himself as a "step"; he was dad, he even got to be their soccer coach when they were little. Tony often bragged of his daughters and their accomplishments to whoever would sit long enough to listen. Two things that he loved to do; talk and brag on his family. He did it often and he did it well.
Tony and Kelly divorced for a period of time. During that time, Tony began his work as a machinist. Which he started as a helper and he ended his career on the path to becoming a certified Millwright. over the years he traveled to multiple plants, refineries, and job sites. This type of work allowed him to travel all over the world to places including Alaska, where he lived for eight years, Canada, and most recently Louisiana. Tony has met tons of friends and coworkers throughout his time being a machinist. He talked of them often, they were like a second family to him. One thing that he loved to do was to cook meals for the crew in Louisiana. So you've probably heard Tony talk about his famous banana pudding and had pleasure to even try it if you most recently worked with him. He bragged of his 50+ 5-Star reviews from the crew.
Kelly and Tony were reunited and later remarried. But this time, marrying Kelly didn't just involve Jessalyn and Jordan. He now gained a new title and was now a Papa T to his first granddaughter, Aubree, daughter of Jordan. He gained two Aggie son-in-laws, Bailey and James, which grew his love for Texas A&M. He would watch the games and even attend one getting to experience the rush of Kyle Field. He loved meeting lil' P (Paisley), daughter of Bailey, when Jessalyn introduced her now husband. In April 2024, his first grandson, Kayden was born and Tony was over the moon. Kayden's middle name was to honor Tony's late brother, which Kayden will wear proudly. Unknown to everyone, Tony was able to see all 3 of his grandchildren and spending time with each of them before his passing.
He leaves behind his wife, Kelly Brannon; his daughter Jessalyn Bennett and husband Bailey, his daughter Jordan Fife and husband James. Grandchildren Aubree, Paisley, Kayden. Father-in-law, David Smith Sr. Brother-in-law, David Smith Jr. and wife Melody. Sister-in-law, Carrie Billingsley and husband Brian. Nieces; Brittney Mehaffey and husband Turner, Lindsey Watkins and husband Jared, Lauren Smith and Rylee Billingsley.
Tony was greeted at the Gates of Heaven by his Mother-in-law, Karen Hudson Smith. His adoptive mother, Janice Brannon. Brother, Kevin Gould. Grand pup, Zoey Bennett. His family would like to thank all of those that have been praying for them during this extremely difficult time. They would ask that you would continue to do so.
We ask that in lieu of flowers you would consider donating to the link below to help Kelly transition during this difficult time.
