Anthony 'Tony' Lombardi, Jr., age 64 of Danbury, CT died at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday August 19, 2025, following a brief illness.

Tony was born in Stamford, CT February 9, 1961, son of the late Anthony Lombardi, Sr. and Sandra (Marshall) Lombardi; grandson of the late Bradley Marshall, Sr. and Yvonne (Belanger) Marshall; brother of the late Michael Lombardi; and nephew of the late Joanne (Marshall) Nellis. He was a Danbury resident most of his life and graduated from Danbury High School.

In his younger years, Tony was an assistant sports broadcaster for local radio and television networks. He attended weekly Toastmasters International meetings to perfect his craft. Tony was an athlete for The Special Olympics and played softball, volleyball, and participated in cycling events. He loved wrestling and baseball, especially the NY Yankees.

Tony had a unique sense of humor and often nicknamed friends and loved ones. At home, he loved to spend time in the kitchen, cooking and making shopping lists. Tony loved listening to Frank Sanatra and could belt out a great rendition of New York, New York. Tony had a large personality and was loved by his Ability Beyond staff, who cared for him in his later years.

Tony is survived by his cousins: Wayne Marshall, Yvonne Bradley, David Marshall, Delia Rogers, Tyler Rogers, Melanie Worsencroft Marshall, and Sarah Bradley. He is also survived by his Uncle Bradley Marshall and Aunt Iris Ruiz Marshall of Puerto Rico.

The family will receive friends at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury CT. Tuesday, August 26 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Special Olympics.
