Anthony Moretti V.

Anthony V. Moretti, 67, of South Kingstown died Friday at his home. He was the husband of Joanne (Conway) Moretti, his wife of nearly forty years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Arthur V. and Eva D. (Tetrault) Moretti, he had been a lifelong Warwick resident before moving to South Kingstown in 2013. Tony was a mental health worker for the State of Rhode Island for over thirty years before retiring in 2005. An All-State football player and wrestler at Pilgrim High School, Tony later returned to coach football at Pilgrim High School, Warwick Vets High School and LaSalle Academy. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed Chess. Anthony was a long-time member of the Pawtuxet Athletic Club.
Tony was a beloved father to his daughter, Lisa M. Barone and her husband, Joseph Barone, Jr.; as well as his son Michael A. Moretti and his finance`, Lena Ngor. He was also a big brother to his three sisters, Victoria Briggs and her husband, Skip of Scituate; Theresa Moretti of Warwick and Anna Dill of Oregon. He was the brother of the late John and Michael Moretti. He also leaves behind two granddaughters, Annabelle and Genevieve Barone who loved their Gampy very much.
Calling Hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 PM in the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Facial coverings will be required.
