Anthony "Tony" Newton, age 72, of Waldron passed away in his home on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
He was born on July 8, 1953, in Addison, Michigan to Albert and Barbara (Ruder) Newton. Tony proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he became a self-employed truck driver and worked with the family business known as The Newton Boys. Outside of work, Tony could often be found in the garage or lending a hand to others.
On August 27, 1977, Tony married Beverly Kay Watkins in Prattville, Michigan. They shared over 41 years together until her passing on July 24, 2019. Tony and Beverly drove truck together and enjoyed traveling during their free time.
To cherish his memory, Tony leaves his children: Randy (Adrienna) Newton of Waldron, MI, James (Tonya) Snyder of West Manchester, OH, and Candy (Ted) Walker of Brighton, MI; three brothers: Steven Newton and John (Cheryl) Newton, both of Waldron, MI, and Alan (Patty) Newton of Osseo, MI; three sisters: Chris Douglas and Brenda Gallipo both of Waldron, MI, and Cindy (Mark) Bernath of West Unity, OH; as well as eight grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Newton.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services for Tony will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Waldron VFW Hall. Friends can express sympathies to the family online by visiting the tribute wall at www.marryfh.com. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Marry Funeral Home, Morenci.
