Mr. Anthony Lamar Phillips met the love of his life Ms. LaTorya Pennyman and was united in holy matrimony on June 24, 2017, in Griffin, Georgia. Their union was blessed with two children.
Anthony was employed by Georgia Diagnostic State Prison as a Maintenance Technician until became disabled and retired. In his leisure time Anthony enjoyed watching ESPN, and spending time with his family and friends.
On Thursday, June 20, 2024, Mr. Anthony Lamar Phillips entered the Heavenly Gates knowing there will be no more sickness, pain, or suffering, only everlasting joy with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lillie Dean Dorsey, John Render, Arthur James Phillips and Mary Lee Phillips.
Mr. Anthony Lamar Phillips leaves a lasting legacy, full of loving memories a devoted wife, LaTorya Phillips; children, Peyton Phillips, and Makayda Russell; his loving parents, Arthur and Yvonne Phillips; sisters, Sophia (Chris) Bates, and Nelisa (John) Megathlin; in-laws, Alfonza and Tonia Folds. He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. Min. Jeffery Graddick is the Eulogist.
