Anthony Valen Obituary
Anthony Theodore “Ted” Valen, age 71, passed away on April 18, 2025, in Palos Park, Illinois. Ted lived a full and meaningful life rooted in family and a love for the outdoors and gardening.
Ted graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Engineering and went on to build houses in the Chicagoland area. He was proud to be instrumental in creating a home for families. He could build and fix anything.
Ted was the beloved husband of Lorna (Erickson) and they shared a special love story. They were married 36 years.
He was a devoted father to Shay Boswell (Chris), Sam and Skye (Scott Stewart). He took great pride in his role as Opa to his cherished grandsons, Finn and Maverick Boswell. His love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life.
He is also remembered by his sister Vida Mazzocco and her husband Michael. Ted held a special place in his heart for nieces Valerie Roth (Mazzocco) and Lisa Chapello (Mazzocco) as well as his nephew Patrick Mazzocco.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Gertraud and John Valen.
A private memorial will be held for close family and friends.
