Antoinette “Toni” Dimond born October 4, 1927, passed away at the age of 97 on Sunday, June 15, 2025 in Tempe, AZ. The youngest of three children, she was born in Chicago to Joseph De Bartolo, a barber, and Ignazia Grace Coco, a seamstress. She married Ray A. Dimond in 1948 and moved to the Phoenix area where she resided until her death. With a Master’s degree in hospital management, Toni worked as a hematologist for the Burn Center, Good Samaritan Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital. After retiring from the medical field, Toni turned to her life-long passion, music, playing accordion and piano and donating her time to organizations like the Pyle Center and the Looney Tooners Kitchen Band. She was predeceased by her father, Joe, mother, Grace, brothers, Anthony and Jack, husband, Ray, and daughter, Annette Spurr. She is survived by son, Rick, daughters, Theresa (James Speights) and Nancy, and niece, Monica Rowan (Frank), four grandchildren, Audrey Pascual (Jay), Jamie Dimond-Coney (Alan), Jon and Chris Spurr, seven great grandchildren, Alana Dimond-Coney, Harrison and Agnes Pascual, Presley, Zoie, Kendalyn and Sydni Spurr, two great nephews, Michael R. (La Vista) and Steven Rowan (Allison), and five great great nephews and nieces, Benjamin, Liliana, Isabella, Emily and Austin Rowan.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 10:30am at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., in Phoenix. Donations in Toni’s memory can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Heart Association.
