Ardis Devine Obituary
Ardis grew up in Ohio and attended Baldwin Wallace College, majoring in education. She met the love of her life, Eddie Devine at church in North Olmsted and they wed soon after. She taught kindergarten and first grade for over 30 years. Ardis and Eddie eventually settled on Lake Erie in Marblehead Ohio enjoying all that lake life has to offer.
Upon retirement they moved to Vero Beach Florida along with her mother Berneta. Her daughter Deanna and son-in-law were in Texas and visited often with their children. Six years ago Ardis decided that it was time to move to Texas to be closer to family. Ardis was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward, and her parents Berneta and Richard Salisbury.
She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Jeffrey Scott, her grandson Jerry Maldonado and great granddaughter Casey, her granddaughter Stephanie Kim and husband Paul, and great granddaughter Noelle Ardis.
The family will celebrate Ardis with a private service at Zilker Botanical Gardens in Austin.

Our deepest condolences to Deanna and her family. Ardis was such a wonderful lady! Having her as a neighbor was a blessing. I appreciated her so much during the years she lived in Marblehead. She would write of her family in glowing terms; it's obvious she greatly loved every one of her family.

To this day (40 years later) I still vividly recall moments of kindergarten in Mrs. Devine´s classroom at Danbury. I remember her as a beautiful person with an equally beautiful disposition.
Condolences to her family, and may her memory be eternal.

I started teaching in 1975 where Ardis was the Kindergarten Teacher. I wish to express my Sympathy To Ardis's Family. She was a Great Lady, Teacher and Friend. I will keep her in my Thoughts and Prayers too. God Bless-Martha
