Arlene passed away on July 3, 2024, at McKay Dee Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born June 19, 1940, to Arthur and Mary Kempf, she grew up in Kaysville, Utah.
After graduating from Davis High School, she started her career at Hill Air Force Base as a Technical Editor. She retired in June 1993. On February 27, 1976, she married Bobby Lee Leshon and together they raised three remarkable children: Bryan, David and Shelly, who were her pride and joy. Above all, keeping her family close together was the most important thing to her! She loved her family and friends so deeply. Saturdays were cherished lunch dates with her sister Karen. She met friends on a weekly basis for breakfast or lunch. Arlene was passionate about music. She excelled in her piano and organ playing. Every year, she would call family members on their Birthday and play the Birthday song. She was proud of her beautiful garden beds that popped with lots of color from a variety flowers, shrubs and bushes. All you could say is 'wow! So beautiful!' Arlene loved to make sequin calendars and give them away to family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, nephew Stan, brother Steve and sister Norma, Arlene will forever be remembered and cherished by her husband Bobby and their children: Bryan (Bridget) Leshon, David (Wendy) Leshon and Shelly (Lance) Read.
She is survived by her sisters and brother-in-law: Kay Larsen (Corvallis, Oregon) and Karen (Rodney) Porter (Kaysville, Utah), seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Honoring our mother's wishes, cremation services were provided by Myers Mortuary (Roy).
The family wishes to express gratitude to Roy City Fire & Ambulance for their prompt response as well as the Emergency Trauma Team and ICU doctors and nurses at McKay Dee Hospital who cared for our mother.

I met Arlene in the 90's. We had mutual friends and saw each other every few years. That hanged in 2016 when my husband died suddenly.
Not long after, I got a call from Arlene. "Janine, I'm coming to see you." That's how it started.
We became telephone friends who shared news of our families, good news and frustrations, anything we wanted to share.
We "lunched" every month or so as weather and our healths permitted.
When I became daycare for my great-granddaughter she joined us. Arlene became Auntie Arlene. They had a friendship of their own.
I will always be greatful to Arlene for being my friend. I wasn't used to people caring for me. She had many friends and sisters yet spent time with me. Arlene is my last best friend.
Good friends are hard to find and impossible to forget.
