Arthur David Daniels, 72, of Farmington passed away December 18, 2024 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus. He was born October 27, 1952 in St. Louis to the late Arthur O. and Anita K. (Cox) Daniels. Art was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington. He taught science at Farmington High School, Mineral Area College and St. Paul Lutheran School. He loved anything that involved nature, working for the Conservation Department and also volunteering at the Springfield Nature Center. Art also enjoyed nature photography, exploring National Parks, bird watching, horseback riding and coaching swimming and basketball.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Daniels.
Art is survived by his loving wife, Jill (Frain) Daniels; one son, Adam David Daniels (Claire Squibb); one sister, Karen Daniels; mother-in-law, Joann Frain; sister-in-law, Judy Frain (Rosemary McGuire); two brothers-in-law, John (Janet) Frain, Michael (Julianne) Frain; and nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8:00 AM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Monday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington with Rev. William Thess officiating.
