John Masters Williams, 78, of Farmington passed away March 8, 2026 at Camelot Nursing Center in Farmington. He was born October 24, 1947 in Kennett, MO to the late Ralph and Marjorie (Masters) Williams.
John devoted 51 years to the practice of law, beginning his career in Flat River alongside Robert A. McIlrath. Throughout his life, he remained deeply committed to serving his community. He served on the School Board for the Central School District and was also a member of the board for the LIFE Center, giving generously of his time and leadership. Outside of his legal career, John found great joy in managing the family farm outside of Kennett, Missouri. He held a deep pride in his roots and never lost his love for the Missouri Bootheel, a place that shaped the values and work ethic he carried throughout his life.
John is survived by his two sons, John M. Williams II and wife Kerri Anne (Noble) Williams, Christopher R. Williams and wife Amy Jo (Turner) Williams; six grandchildren, John M. Williams III (Jheel Gosain), Tyler N. Williams (Emily), Joseph A. Williams (Madison Vaeth), Allison K. Allen (Hunter), Jack C. Williams, Jace R. Williams.
Visitation will be held at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, MO with Pastor Mike Harrison officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
